A pair of American Goldfinches scrounge for food on a thick tree branch. The photo was taken at Squantum Woods State Park in East Providence, Rhode Island.
Built in 1708, this house was purchased by Steven Hopkins in 1743. Hopkins was one of the two Rhode Island signers of the Declaration of Independence. While Governor of Rhode Island, Hopkins received a visit from George Washington in this house. The house is on the corner of Hopkins Street and Benefit Street on the historic East Side of Providence, Rhode Island.
