PAD06 - Vertical

Today's theme was "vertical". This is an old railroad bridge spanning the Seekonk River between Providence and East Providence, Rhode Island. It's been over 50 years since this bridge was last used, and it is now permanently locked in the open position. Since this section of the river is no longer used for large vessel shipping, there are no plans to remove the structure.
Since it was a very overcast day with a light rain, I decided to make this a black and white image.
