This Blue Jay decided to perch in my neighbor's crab apple tree while I was taking some shots of the fresh snow. The bird puffed out his chest just as I was taking this shot. He looked quite majestic sitting on the top of the tree and surveying the surrounding yards. I hadn't expected to capture a jay in the tree as part of this challenge, but the image was hard to resist. A beautiful bright red cardinal also perched in the tree however he kept himself well hidden behind a tangle of branches. In the end, the better choice was this jay.
